What influenced you to buy the property?

After living in Bushland Beach for many years, we decided to pursue a dream of building a comfortable, spacious family beach house where we could walk out our back gate to enjoy the lifestyle and activities that beach front living provides. This home was strategically designed to embrace this lifestyle and offer many living options to include alfresco covered entertaining areas as an extension of the versatile layout inside flowing out to the pool area where we spend most of our time cooking and dining.

What advantages are there in living in your home?

There are so many advantages to living in this home, the most important being that it feels like ‘home’ and many living options. You feel safe when you are here anytime of the day. Lifestyle activities – especially fishing and swimming are always high on the agenda with relaxing afternoons lazing under the covered entertainment areas listening to the waves rushing to shore or simply watching the native wildlife moving around the nature corridor. With no rear neighbours and room to move, the house easily transforms from calm and relaxing to entertaining a party and lends itself to those transformations.

When Family or friends visit, what do they point out as the benefits of your home?

What we appreciate most about this house is that it lures family and friends from near and far on a regular basis to enjoy the beach lifestyle they don’t have on their doorstep. Fishing is mostly the go-too activity whether it be at Black River, the Bohle or just out the front and like most families there is always a ‘fishing story’ to be told around the dinner table. This home boasts private living and social interaction and has catered many parties and holiday stays for a week at a time with sleeping large numbers of guests easily.

They appreciate the expanded dining, living and entertainment areas giving them room to move. Spacious comfortable bedrooms with 3 bathrooms helps keep everyone happy and the bathroom wait times to a minimum. With 2 generous kitchens built for entertaining, everyone gets a chance to demonstrate their cooking expertise which our family loves to do.

• It truly is a relaxed lifestyle that provides 4 comfortable social areas, privacy, security and convenience. Spacious private beach side living is not easily found but fully appreciated once discovered.
• Bore Water – the deep well provides ongoing water drawn by the 1.5hp pump that sustains the lawn and gardens all year round. Along with the solar installation, it has been the best investment we could add to this property.
• The Entry leading to the waterfall – it draws you in.
• Hearing the waves coming to shore.
• The number of bathrooms including the spa bath.
• Seeing the expressions on our kid’s faces when they see the native animals moving around the beach.

Additional Comments:

This home was designed with ‘family’ in mind, with the versatility and privacy to continue long after the kids have moved on and back. We can honestly say that we have never regretted building this lovely home and all that it offers for a single moment. It has definitely delivered on all of our expectations and provided our family with wonderful memories.

Recently one of our children commented “We had the best childhood growing up in this house”. We knew then the house gave us everything we had hoped for and more.
